"Financial Aid Woes........"
So... I'm not rich. Chances are, if you're reading this, you aren't either. So how in the world are we going to pay for 4 years of school that costs $50,000 a year? Honestly I'm not sure yet.
I attended CalTech's Webinar about financial aid today. (Why doesn't MIT do one of those?) It was the most informative thing about financial aid I've ever seen. So you see all these colleges saying "Turn in the FAFSA by (insert chosen date here)". So what about those of us who, for whatever reason, can't? Like me. My parents owned a restaurant last year. There is absolutely no way they get all the tax stuff done by February 1st. Not happening.
According to the admissions people, we should estimate. Then correct asap. Great... What should I use to estimate? I have no idea. Neither do my parents. Businesses are tricky that way. So now what? Well i asked the admissions people and guess what? They agreed. They said estimate AS BEST AS POSSIBLE and then correct it when we can. YAY! Now I have a chance of actually being able to afford college... ok probably not.
Unless I get those scholarships.. Come on National Merit!!!!! Yeah... or Kiwanis. Hey I've helped you guys for three years? Care to return the favor? Lol.

And my Fin Aid stuff hasnt reached, although I sent it a month and a half ago. I swear. Gotta give it to India Post.

I'm so excited!!!! I just got my financial aid check today. I'm going back to schoool....soooo happy!

We are at present formally back in college because of Obama's emphasis upon new scholarships and also grants.
