Attention MIT 2014 Applicants
We would like to wish you luck on your admissions! We invite you to use the chat (linked below on the left) during deadlines. Consider it a gift. And some of us may drop by just to say hi. --The MyMIT.info Team

"Moving on"

Being rejected by MIT was quite a blow and I spent the weekend mostly wondering if I should be sad or happy. It’s sad, because I would not be going to my dream school, but it’s also happy, because now I can dedicate the time I used to spend on the admissions blogs on researching my other options.

At the very end I landed on 'happy', and that's where I hope each and every one of us will end up.

It hurts, I won't say it doesn't, but it's a good kind of hurt. You take this fall so you can get right back on your feet and stand taller.

Anyway, if anybody were wondering, my plans are largely unchanged by MIT's decision. I'm still going to spend the next 4+ years of my life in the U.S. I'm still going to get an awesome degree. I already have an excellent offer from a college that I will be very happy at. I'm just waiting for the April decisions of the rest of the colleges I applied to.

And that's that.

I guess my comment on Colton's post wasn't my last post here after all :P

One final note though - I found this site to be tremendously helpful while researching my other options. I suggest you take a look at it.

As they say in my mother tongue - Shalom ve Le'hit'ra'ot!
