Well played Randall, well played.
I expect the domes to flash epileptic lights at night as well.

I literally just hovered my mouse over this for about 2 minutes waiting for the mouseover text to appear.
Nonetheless, this is incredible. It can be incredded.

"I put a dome on your dome so you can hack while you hack"
Sorry, had to be said

I can't stop laughing at this. Seriously.

Randall, your callous prediction of the removal of the icosamajor has forever destroyed one of my most cherished dreams.
I hope you're happy.
...or, I could just drop the major in art history. Everybody says that's a major for slackers anyway.

If 3rd East explodes, will 5E finally be off the hook for flooding the parallel?

I didn't see any cats in that explosion. Did they get evacuated before hand?

"Icosamajor" doesn't have the same ring to it.
Randall Munroe, you are my hero.

Congrats JWC! What may I call this? A LOL-Xzibit?
Posted by: Ahana on February 15, 2009 01:02 PM
Thanks, Tree/Ahana. :)
@Ahana: I'm not sure what the meme is technically called. It's usually just to referred to as a "___ in yo ___". But yeah, among all of the different kinds of meme themes I've seen, this type takes the prize.

Not funny. Thread filled with sycophants. Go die.
Posted by: Tom on February 16, 2009 06:02 AM
@Tom
We're all entitled to an opinion. If you don't like what we did here, that's your privilage... However, insulting people and telling them to 'go die' is rather rude, so don't be surprised if we think less of you for doing so.
As for 'sycophants':
"A sycophant (from the Greek συκοφάντης sykophántēs) is a servile person who, acting in his or her own self interest, attempts to win favor by flattering one or more influential persons"
For this to work the person you're flattering needs to be influential. Last I checked, none of the people working on this site had any influence over the MIT admissions processes - theirs or otherwise... or much of anything else, for that matter.
Also, in order to fulfil the self interest clause, there should be something relatively specific that a sycophant would want to get in return for flattery. What is there to earn here, considering the lack of influence? Virtual cookies?
I like big words, I really do, but I like it even better when people use them correctly.
